Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026. Short, because this business collects very little.
This page sets out what happens to information when you deal with Irvine Porta Potty. It is short because the business is short: we rent portable restrooms, we take bookings by telephone, and there is very little to collect.
The shape of this business matters here
There is no shopping cart on this website, no booking form, no account to create and no newsletter. We do not accept email and there is no email address anywhere on this site. Every enquiry and every booking happens on a phone call. That single fact removes most of what a privacy policy normally has to describe.
What we hold, and why
When you call us to arrange a rental, we write down what we need to deliver it and invoice it:
- the name of the person or business renting
- a contact telephone number
- the delivery address and any access detail you give us, such as a gate code or a site contact
- what you rented, the dates, and the agreed rate
- billing details sufficient to raise and settle an invoice
We hold that because we cannot deliver a unit to an address we do not have, or invoice a rental we did not record. We do not hold it for any other purpose.
What this website itself collects
The site is static. There is nothing to log in to and nothing to submit. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs - the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string - which is standard for any web server and is used for security and diagnostics. If we use a website analytics tool, it reports aggregate traffic patterns, not identified individuals.
Telephone calls
Calls may be recorded or noted for training and accuracy. If a call is recorded and you would rather it were not, say so at the start of the call and we will make a written note instead.
Who else sees it
We do not sell information and we do not trade it. It is shared only where the work requires it: with the crew delivering and servicing your units, and with the payment and accounting providers who process the invoice. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Booking and invoicing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Notes that no longer serve a purpose are discarded.
Your rights in California
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives California residents rights over personal information held about them. In practice this means you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing here to opt out of on that front. Exercising any of these rights will never change the service you get or the price you are quoted.
To make a request, telephone us on (949) 749-3243. Because the whole business runs by phone, that is the route - and we will verify who you are before we act on a request about someone's information.
Children
We rent portable restrooms to businesses, event organizers and households. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information about them.
Security
Records are kept on access-controlled systems and shared only with the people who need them to do the job. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page. Material changes will be obvious from the text rather than buried in it.
